"SHAN,
the ancient heart
of natural peoples"
The film SHAN by Stefano Milla, released in 2007, stars the five musicians of LabGraal: and it has established a new manner of doing culture, soon becoming a cult film that has stimulated events, conferences, cultural and editorial initiatives, among which the homonymous fantasy book by Anna Maria Bonavoglia.
The film "Shan" has also inspired this form of media, which sprang from the will to provide an ideal follow-up to the film and to the tendencies it contains.
The film represents a symbolic voyage of five musicians on the traces of invisible traditions, journeying among myth, music and testimonials in order to rediscover the ancient heart of natural Peoples - the Natives of the planet
As in a saga, the film unwinds around the ancient European legend of the city known as Rama and the secret of the Graal, whose contents universally embrace all of the planet's traditions.
"Shan" in the ancient culture of Druidic shamanism represents Nature in all of its mystic significance linked to the immateriality of existence, such as the Australian Aborigine concept of "Dreamtime" or the Native American "Wakan Tanka".
